Role Overview:

The client has maintained the UK’s Chinook fleet for over 40 years, under various contracts including the Through Life Customer Support (TLCS) contract, the Digital Automatic Flight Control System (DAFCS) upgrade programme, and the Chinook Engine Support Arrangement (CESA). We are seeking a skilled individual to join our MRO modification, servicing, and repair team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide forward support delivering primary maintenance.
  • Lead the assembly, disassembly, and modification of systems, overseeing component change, removal, replacement, or upgrade to correct failures or implement changes.
  • Direct troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Oversee validation/verification testing of systems and components.
  • Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Inspect components and verify repairs for flightworthiness requirements.
  • Lead and supervise others to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle.
  • Provide training and mentorship to others. Work under minimal direction.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience working on Military Aircraft, preferably with familiarity with the Chinook specifications and drawings.
  • Experience supervising a team of aircraft technicians.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience working with limited supervision.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Work Authorisation:

This position is for locally hired personnel in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.

Security Clearance:

Applicants must be capable of obtaining a UK security clearance (SC) as UK residency is required. All information will be checked and verified.
