Navigating Multifaceted Talent Needs: Indotronix's Approach to Supporting Global Systems Integrators.
Background
Over the past 30+ years, Indotronix has supported global companies across a plethora of industries by sourcing a range of roles for large global Systems Integrators. In 2023, we hired for 200+ roles, directly supporting leading Systems Integrator clients with our candidates finding their way into various industries including Airlines, Automotive, Telecom, Pharmaceutical, Insurance, and Chemical.
Our clients’ needs and talent placements reflect the evolving IT landscape, increasingly focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Digital Transformation.
Challenges
Working with system integrators is an exercise in efficiency and versatility:
- Address the needs a diverse set of end clients and industry verticals where Systems Integrators undertake multi-year / multi-billion dollar projects.
- Supporting Systems Integrators requires suppliers to be agile and efficient with the ability to work on aggressive margins.
- Oftentimes, assignments warrant a quicker turnaround time than with direct end clients.
- As we are not directly in touch with the end client, extra effort must be invested in communication with both the systems integrator and the candidate to ensure a good fit.
- Many customer service roles were for languages other than English which required our recruiters to circumvent cultural and language barriers
HOW INDOTRONIX MET THOSE CHALLENGES:
- Large teams of recruiters experienced in the fast paced, aggressive margin environment of the Systems integrators.
- Pipelining: Since a very large percentage of the roles like Field Engineers and Customer Service representatives are repeat roles, the Delivery managers work proactively on building and maintaining a robust pipeline of candidates. This helps in speedy deployment when the requirements are released by our client.
- Experience and Legacy: From the early 1990’s Indotronix has worked with large systems integrators and have learned the industry firsthand. We have had our finger on the pulse as the market and our clients have evolved.
- Our recruiters are trained to stay updated on the latest technologies and software, as System Integrator roles require expertise across a diverse array of tech to streamline and enhance business processes. In 2023 alone our recruiters had to source for a range of roles:
- Integration middleware like Apache Kafka, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, IBM WebSphere MQ, and Oracle Fusion Middleware crucial for connecting disparate systems. Proficiency in APIs, including REST, SOAP, and GraphQL
- Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) solutions like MuleSoft ESB, Apache ServiceMix, and IBM Integration Bus to enable efficient communication between applications.
- Data integration tools such as Informatica, PowerCenter, Microsoft SSIS, and Oracle Data Integrator are vital for consolidating data from various sources.
- Message queuing systems like Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, and ActiveMQ ensures reliable message delivery.
- Cloud integration platforms, including Dell Boomi, SnapLogic, and Microsoft Azure Logic Apps, support scalable integration solutions.
- RPA tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, and Blue Prism, as well as containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, and Prometheus, is highly valued.
RESULTS:
By providing right-fit resources across various functions, Indotronix supports Systems Integrators in maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation. Our contributions help sustain the development and deployment of cutting-edge IT solutions, advanced support systems, and crucial digital services, ensuring these sectors meet stringent requirements and continue to drive technological advancements.
- In 2023, we hired for 200+ roles, directly supporting leading System Integrator clients with our candidates finding their way into a variety of industries (Airlines, Automotive, Telecom, Pharmaceutical, Insurance & Chemical). Our clients’ needs and talent placements reflect the evolving IT landscape, increasingly focused on AI, Big data, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing and Digital transformation.
- The largest portion of our placements was in Call Centre and Customer Support related roles, with over 40% of these jobs being entirely remote, reflecting an industry rapidly shifting towards remote and hybrid work models. Our recruiters had to upskill and adapt, overcoming language and cultural barriers when recruiting for non-English customer service representatives.
- We also sourced numerous candidates for Helpdesk roles. Helpdesk technicians provide crucial IT support to ensure the smooth functioning of computer systems within an organization. They must stay updated on the latest industry trends, including cloud-based solutions, automation, self-service, and green IT initiatives.
- Field Engineers are tasked with maintaining and deploying the company’s IT infrastructure, often performing incident-specific activities or providing PLS support as directed by the Helpdesk, service desk, or script. Our candidates are handpicked for their qualifications and necessary certifications.
- Lastly, we hired for various IT roles ranging from developers to consultants. The System Integrator talent we’ve sourced found its way into 132 unique work locations, with key hubs in Pennsylvania, New York, and Baltimore. However, 75% of locations have only one role each, indicating the vast amount of data our recruiters must manage about regional hiring requirements specific to Systems Integrators.
