Position: Senior Linux Engineer

I. POSITION OBJECTIVES
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Linux Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design,
implement, and maintain complex Linux-based systems and applications. Your primary focus will
be ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our Linux infrastructure. You will also
guide the redesign of our Red Hat Satellite architecture and accelerate our containerization
initiatives.
Working Hrs.: WFH - Monday through Friday at 6.30 PM to 2.30 AM (8AM to 4PM CST)
EXP Range: 5 to 7 yrs
II. Job duties and responsibilities
• System Design & Implementation:
• Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers and applications both on-premises
and in the cloud.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of Linux systems and applications.
• Performance & Security Management:
• Manage and optimize system performance, security measures, backup strategies, and
recovery processes.
• Red Hat Satellite Architecture:
• Review the current Red Hat Satellite system's architecture and implementation.
• Lead the design and implementation of a new Red Hat Satellite server to improve system
management and efficiency.
• Containerization Efforts:
When a section is not applicable it shall be filled in with “N/A”

• Provide expertise and assistance with containerization technologies and practices, including
Docker and Kubernetes.
• Documentation & Support:
• Document and update configurations, architecture, and processes related to Linux systems
and applications.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Linux issues and incidents, ensuring
minimal disruption and timely resolution.
III. QUALIFICATION
• Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work
experience.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in Linux administration, engineering, or
development.
• Technical Expertise:
• Expert knowledge of Red Hat-based Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise
Linux, CentOS, Rocky Linux, etc.
• In-depth experience with Red Hat Satellite server management.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, Perl, etc.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
• Skills & Abilities:
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong documentation abilities and experience with creating and maintaining system
documentation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide technical
guidance and support to engineers and developers
