Position: Business Systems Analyst Senior

Position Location: Remote

Acceptable time zone(s): EST, CST

Duration: Contract to hire

Key responsibilities in order of which they will be doing day 1 and frequently followed by those they will be doing as the project/work progresses:

• Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers.

• Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs.

• Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared.

• Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles.

• Expand or modify the system to serve new purposes or improve workflow.

• Understanding of how to elicit functional and non-functional requirements

Must have technical skills/experience (ask for alternative/tool/version) of the position in priority order:

5+ years' experience:

• With Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira

• Writing users stories and acceptance criteria using industry standard methodologies

• Skilled in the creation of workflows and diagrams for complex solutions

Flex Skills:

• SQL and Database Knowledge can be helpful but not required or expected.

Soft skills:

• Highly organized

• Ability to maintain time management

• Critical thinker

• A Multi-tasker with the ability to pivot into different spaces easily

• Ability to communicate with development teams and experienced designers

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor degree preferred, but not required --- Experience in lieu of degree

Describe what is different about this specific role compared to others hiring for the same skill set:

• Tempus is a hybrid between waterfall and Agile. Skills that they have had in the past may not totally apply to what they do and that can be a challenge, but they are looking for someone who is up to it and learn new things. A lot what potential resources know is helpful, but they will have an opportunity to relearn what they already know because of the way that this team does things. This will be a unique experience that is interesting and fulfilling, with a steep learning curve but worth it.

Interview process:

• 1 Round of interviews running approximately 1hr long with a 3-4 ITV panel ( HM, Lead BAs, Architect, or someone similar-- people they would be working directly with)
