Sameer Penakalapti, president and CEO of global software technology company Avani Technology Solutions and international IT solutions company Indotronix, announced today that he has acquired Rochester-based digital marketing firm Accelerate Media, Inc. The acquisition is expected to add at least ten new high-paying jobs for Rochester over the next two years—including three to be added before the end of 2018.

Earlier this month, Avani Technology Solutions was honored with the #1 spot on the 2018 Rochester Top 100, the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce’s annual list of the fastest growing companies in the region. The company employs approximately 30 people locally with more than 700 employees worldwide and has enjoyed a 52% annual revenue growth for the past seven years.

“Currently 8 out of 10 businesses use a form of digital marketing to promote their services, and that trend will continue,” said Penakalapti. “By 2020, 50% of global marketing spend will be devoted to digital marketing platforms. The capabilities that the Accelerate Media team brings in this arena wonderfully complement our companies and will allow us to bring even greater value to our clients and customers.”

Jason Foley, principal at Accelerate Media, is optimistic about the changes in store for the company he founded in 2005. “We are excited about the opportunities this opens for Accelerate Media. We will have immediate access to a national sales force and hundreds of programmers worldwide.”

Both leaders stress that Accelerate Media will operate as an independent company within the Indotronix Avani Group. “The same staff will provide the same high-quality website development and digital marketing services, to long-standing loyal customers and new clients alike. We have no desire to change that,” said Penakalapti. The biggest difference, added Foley, “will be the substantially increased financial and personnel resources available to us.”
