The network engineer is responsible for the system’s overall infrastructure, including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support. This role will design, implement/install, maintain and administer infrastructure systems, including hardware and various network configurations. The technology engineer mentors and coaches’ others to establish and improve processes and procedures. 

 

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with Layer 2 Switching protocols
• 1 to 2 years’ experience with network engineering, basic understanding of networking fundamentals, and know the differences among the link, network, transport, and application layers.
• Understanding of VLANs, NAT devices, DHCP servers, the OSI model and TCP/IP model
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot routing/switching technologies including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VRRP in an enterprise class environment
• Some experience with Linux OS/Networking
• Experience with multiple networking vendors including Cisco, HP, Aruba, Extreme, and Avalan.
