Manager Notes: Looking for a mid to senior level DBA with 5 plus years of experience with DB2.

8-5 or 7-4 (some off hours required)

 

Contract Duration:

· 6 months +

 

Position Overview:

Daily Responsibilities/Job Description:

• The DB2 DBA is responsible for database activities that support product team deliverables.
• Experience with table partitioning, index partitioning, admin move table, load from cursor, and gene***d always columns.
• Familiar with DB2 creation, HADR support, DB2 federation, Database backup and restore
• Strong problem-solving skills
• DBA role needs to follow HealthCare Federal LAWs on PHI data and follow our Db2 standards

 

Interaction level with Management/Team Members:

Very High

 

Skills Overview:

Qualifications/years of experience:

• 5+ DB2 DBA
• College degree or equivalent education

 

Technology Requirements (Must have):

• Experience with Db2 Support on UNIX
• Experience with DB2 db creation, HADR and Federation
• DB2 tools: db2top, db2look, AQT, DSM, etc.

 

Additional Requirements:

Knowledge of HADR operation and creation and Disaster Recovery (DR) methods
