Job Description Summary:

The client is massive in their sphere & this is a ground-breaking new project working on the next generation of aircraft in this arena.

We are seeking an Avionics Technician / Aircraft Technician / Aircraft Engineer for our mission system cabinet build team. This production team is responsible for building mission system cabinets that house line replaceable units and associated wiring for Airborne Early Warning and Control Aircraft. The successful candidate will have experience with build and modification drawing sets and performing wiring installation and termination, with expected training in EWIS.

More on the Role:

  • Assembling, disassembling, and modifying aerospace vehicle systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading components to correct failures or implement changes.
  • The position oversees the assembly, disassembly, or overhaul processes, configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment, and troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate and repair faults.
  • Performing validation and verification testing of systems and components, documenting procedures to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance, inspecting components for flight worthiness, and overseeing training.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembling mission systems cabinets, including installing wiring harnesses to cabinet structures and completing final terminations and connections.
  • Working in a workshop environment within a small, dedicated team.
  • Installing premade wiring harnesses to wiring specifications.
  • Making final connections and terminations.
  • Installing and bonding panels and components.
  • Supporting airflow testing at the Birmingham site.
  • Recording and certifying work using the GOLDesp MRO IT system.
  • Ensuring all work adheres to Boeing specifications.

Note: The ability to obtain SC Clearance is vital for this role.
