Our client, a trusted supportability services provider to the UK Ministry of Defence and industry clients for over 60 years, is expanding its Commercial Team due to an ever-growing portfolio of awarded contracts. About the Role:

As we embark on an impressive growth path, we invite an experienced Commercial Officer to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity for career progression, with a hybrid working model that includes primarily working from home, complemented by visits to company offices and customer sites when required.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial process from cradle to grave, with responsibilities including:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contract documentation and agreements with supply chain partners.
  • Preparation and distribution of subcontract documentation, addressing associated contractual and commercial aspects, including Off-Payroll Working (IR35) activities.
  • Maintaining an organized system of digital records for all commercial documentation.
  • Updating and creating new commercial processes and procedures as needed.
  • Providing ad-hoc commercial support to the business, including bid preparation and addressing commercial issues.
  • About You

Qualifications:

  • A Degree/Diploma/Vocational qualification in Commercial/Contract Management, Business Administration/Law, or similar (preferable but not essential).
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of commercial contracts and agreements (minimum 3 years).
  • Industry experience in a similar role (advantageous).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify errors and omissions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Confidence as a self-starter and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support the business needs.

  • Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK
  • Internal BPSS check required prior to gaining site access
  • Successful candidate must hold a current SC clearance or be willing to undergo a Security Clearance check (SC level) upon starting employment.
