Production Engineer - Indotronix Avani (For Our Defence Client)

Indotronix Avani is seeking a talented Production Engineer to join our team, supporting a prestigious defence client. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing efficient production methods for critical defence products.

Responsibilities:

  • Define all aspects of the production process, including machining, equipment selection, work instructions, drawings, and tooling.
  • Ensure successful new product introductions and method changes, prioritizing safe working procedures.
  • Possess a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize production efficiency.
  • Maintain the highest quality standards, ensuring all products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and implement effective improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and document clear and concise process instructions.
  • Lead the implementation and initial operation of new processes.
  • Provide rapid problem-solving skills to minimize product non-conformance.
  • Champion Process Management of Change (MoC) procedures to ensure timely amendments to tooling, equipment, and work instructions.
  • Support the training and development of production personnel in the use of equipment, tooling, and processes.
  • Project manage the implementation of new and improved production processes.

Qualifications:

  • Right to live and work in the UK.
  • Current 5 yr. work history in the UK.
  • Level 4 NVQ in an engineering discipline or a relevant technical area.
  • Experience in Production Engineering, ideally within the Defence or Aerospace sector (preferred), high-tech manufacturing, or precision engineering.
  • Proven track record of successful new product introductions.
  • Ability to compile risk assessments and write comprehensive reports.
  • Experience with HAZOP studies (desirable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
