Introduction:

Our premium client is one of the biggest players in aviation globally, as well as being an EASA and UK CAA approved Maintenance Repair Organisation with an approval to provide Line & Base Maintenance services on 737 NG/Max, 777 and 787 aircraft. Due to their continued expansion, they are currently looking for a Production Planning Engineer to join our team.

The Production Planning Engineer will play a key part in the day to day running of the LGW 145 Production planning department. In doing so you will be the point of contact for any Production Planning issues during execution and preparation for customer maintenance inputs. Working closely with our Technical Engineers to ensure deliverable plans are driven to execution. The production planning engineer will form a key point of contact for customer technical representatives ensuring customer requirements are satisfied.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • The role of the Production Planning Engineer is to be the on-shift escalation point for any Production Planning queries. 
  • Represent the Production Planning department at internal and external meetings as well as working closely with Part 145 Technical Services Team to ensure deliverable plans are driven to execution.
  • With our continued growth, this role will play a key part in the development and implementation of new procedures as well as project work in support of our continued improvement working closely with the Lead Production Planning Engineer and Planning Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the day-to-day Production Planning duties to include, building robust production plans for maintenance inputs, building work packages in AMOS and inputting technical data.
  • Perform reviews of work packages to ensure all consumables expendables and tooling have been fully identified and can be made readily available for any planned maintenance input. 
  • Ensure regulatory requirements for Production Planning are adhered to at all times.
  • Build accurate Man Hour and Hangar Bay plans for review by Management and or QA.
  • Represent Production Planning during internal and external audits.
  • Take ownership of department objectives and goals.
  • Work closely with the Lead Production Panning Engineer in creating cross team dynamics and ensure all processes and procedures are monitored and kept up to date.
  • Monitor compliance through sampling.
  • Participate or host required pre-input meetings.
  • Continuously monitor processes to ensure maximum efficiency can be achieved.
  • Ensure prior to start of input there has been no revision changes to the approved data.

Qualifications:

  • Be able to work unsupervised but also be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Previous experience of using the AMOS system.
  • Have previous experience of accessing online Boeing documents through myboeingfleet.com. Previous experience on widebody and/or ETOPS aircraft is an advantage.
  • Aircraft Engineering Degree preferable.
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience of working in a maintenance planning environment.
  • Must have excellent organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Candidates must have the right to live and work in United Kingdom and Ireland
  • Aircraft Engineering Degree preferable
