The Technical Lead is a key senior role in our business. You will bring technical expertise,  lead technical delivery teams, support and enable our brilliant people, collaborate with a range of customer stakeholders to shape solutions, support business development activities, and provide trusted technology expertise both within Techmodal and Digital Intelligence and to our customers.

We’ve listed some of the key activities below:

  • Provide senior technical leadership, offering oversight and advisory support across our Data Solutions and Decision Support communities.
  • Act as a servant leader, fostering collaboration and empowering delivery teams.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with senior business and technical clients, using your network and expertise.
  • Advocate for Techmodal’s market offerings, effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Oversee technical delivery projects and teams, ensuring alignment with customer goals, business strategy, and career development.
  • Encourage open communication and collaboration, creating a positive, inclusive work environment that values individual contributions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to innovate and improve digital services.
  • Promote a culture of learning and growth, supporting professional development within your area of responsibility.

We recognise this is a broad role, and we welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds and experiences. You don’t need to meet every single criterion, but we’re looking for individuals who bring some of the following skills and expertise:

  • Experience leading delivery teams and developing technical solutions within UK Public Sector programmes and projects (10+ years preferred).
  • Strong technical background with the ability to engage with Public Sector stakeholders to shape and deliver solutions.
  • Ability to build and lead high-performing teams, supporting and developing staff in technical roles.
  • Understanding of Public Sector technologies, challenges, and commercial processes, particularly within UK Defence and Public Sector.
  • Established professional network in UK Defence and Public Sector (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Commitment to inclusive leadership, empowering individuals and fostering a collaborative environment.
